Activate your Pro license
MMTable Pro unlocks the advanced features layered on top of the free plugin. You need both installed and activated — Pro by itself does nothing.
Before you start
- Install and activate the free MMTable plugin first. Pro depends on it.
- Have your license key handy. You should have received it by email after purchase, or you can find it in your mmplugs.com account.
Install Pro
- Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
- Choose
mm-table-pro-1.0.0.zip(or whatever current version you have). - Click Install Now, then Activate.
Activate the license
- Go to MMTables → License.
- Paste your license key into the field. Keys look like
MMP-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. - Click Activate.
If activation succeeds, the page shows your license expiry date and a green "Active" badge. All Pro features (AI Tools, Conditional Formatting, inline editing, remote data, etc.) become available immediately.
Moving Pro to a different site
Each license includes a fixed number of activations. When you hit the limit, the activation page tells you so. Two options:
- Deactivate first — go to MMTables → License on the old site, click Deactivate, then activate on the new site.
- Transfer — if you don't have admin access to the old site anymore, the License page on the new site offers a Transfer from another site option. You'll need the original license key and the old site's domain.
Update signing
Every update package is Ed25519-signed by the update server. Pro verifies the signature locally before installing. If anything ever fails verification, the install aborts with a clear error and your existing version stays in place. This protects you against a supply-chain attack on the update infrastructure.
Troubleshooting
"License key not recognised" — typo in the key. Copy directly from the welcome email or your account page; the key includes dashes.
"Activation limit reached" — your plan's activation count is fully used. Either deactivate on a site you no longer use, or upgrade your plan in the account portal.
"License is not active" — the subscription has lapsed. Pro features still work for the duration of the cached validation (up to 24 hours), but you'll stop getting updates until you renew.
License page shows "Could not reach license server" — your server can't reach mmplugs.com. Check outbound firewall rules and DNS resolution. Pro falls back to a 1-hour cached status on transient network failure so you're not locked out during an outage.
